Good evening dollies! And welcome to the runway.
This is your first runway show, I hope you all feel excited.
Well, you're all great designers and that is why you're here, but surviving in the pressure cooker that is Project Runway, it is not an easy task. Okay designers, as you know in fashion one day and the next day
you're out. The thirteen of you here after tonight will only be 7. Aeon_flux_96, Evinha5439, Rei1981 and Pavlovagurl have been made redundant due to their noncompliance.

Jeannette: I zoomed in this look and I could not find any flaw. This look is 100% Carmen's, from the color of the trenchcoat to the versatiliy of the dress, my only concern is the length of the dress, it might be too short. I'm not a big fan of showing too much cleavage and legs at the same time. The construction of the coat is magnificent.
Carmen: I can say I expected something like this! I love it! Hairstyle is totally yes. Jewelry is yes! Heels, coat, dress - I approve everything! I love the color you decided to use for my coat, clutch and shoes! It's perfect and you totally went for the right one! But I wouldn't personally go for the silver shade of dress, I'm not pretty much into that dress color. But as long as I'm looking at it, I like it more and more, still you should've go with a different color - maybe dirty white or something. But shapes and garments are awesome,
Sophie: I like this for flip I think it represents his style pretty well and even though my style is on the complete opposite side I can understand it, props to you for featuring a well thought out color palette it makes it look really
fluid, the coat seems like a staple and it's not really something to gag over, however the dress is really unique and I think it gives flip a different look but remains in his fashion overall I think this is an OK look, it's forgettable but you delivered my grading goes out based on how well you understood your assigned judges style
Ashley: For a day look, I can see this working for Carmen really well. As her style has really transformed over the years from being very experimental to being extremely dedicated to luxurious basics, I commend you for taking some time to look at details and observe Carmen's lifestyle. With that said, the outfit however looks like you picked a lot of items from her closet and threw them all together. The coat is definitely not in season and looks very heavy and
out of place in comparison to the dress you've designed. The dress standing alone could have been accentuated even more if it weren't covered by such a heavy, bulky coat! The accessories are also lacking and are a bit too simplistic.
Maria-0077
Ashley: I really like this look to be honest, but it also lacks the ingenuity I'm used to seeing from many designers. It may be a way of personal taste, but I think the look overall is just too simple. I'm enjoying the Oscar de la Renta or Ralph Lauren vibe that the overall look is giving me, but there isn't anything very original about it.
Even for day wear Steven's look was basic, Its practical yet not minimal.
Carmen: wouldn't attach this to Steven on the first sight, Steven is not the kind of person I'd see in this outfit. But then I think again. And no, still no. Third time it actually starts on him, but something's wrong. Bag. Bag pick is totally not something to go with this dress. Except for that - I love this! I love the structure of that top but skirt is somehow missing it. I don't like the black detail over here, you should've remove it or make it over whole skirt, it's just not suiting to me. Heels are awesome, can I have a pair? I love that you didn't forget jewelry! Bracelet is awesome and sunglasses totally hit it!
Jeannette: I agree with Carmen, this is more of a Maria outfit rather than Steven's. Steven's style is minimalistic, and this look has so many detail on the skirt already to put it together with that top. I think I have never seen Steven wearing such a low neckline on any of his looks. The skirt is the only piece I can say I actually consider great and that goes along with the theme of this challenge, the shading is amazing and the lace pockets are giving me Oscar de la Renta vibes, as Ms. Ashley said. I'm not totally buying this look.
Sophie: To me this whole outfits seems "blah" this is supposed to be a daytime look for an event, not a going out look, I aprecciate you looking to add little details to this such as the appliqué on the skirt and beading on the top, but they way you've utilised them makes it look rather cheap, as if they had been hot glued to the materials. The real task was to make something that Stevenson would wear, and I having personally styled stevenson know this is absolutely not something he'd be caught it, he always looks for a touch of couture in his outfits and to me this is just too "everyday" you're a marvellous designer but on this task you missed the mark
Isabella8103
Jeannette: Sadly I can't help but think that there's too much going on in this dress, however it's actually working with Ashley's style. I can picture her leaving her new residence in Dollabasas on her way to a fancy brunch in Chateau Marmont. The plunging neckline is so delicate and elegant, that swarovski embroidered detail on the skirt that is showing only when she walks is ethereal. You have a very promising career in fashion design, just keep up with the good work and don't fail to slay us this well the next time!
Carmen: Oh my, I love this! Fur caught my attention - I WANT IT! I want everything furry so... The Elite clutch is super cute and I'm totally obsessed with this! I love everything about this entry! I can see Ashley dressed in this, I can see her fierce walking down the stairs in her villa, shaking hips, waving clutch! This is totally awesome!
Sophie: I this this outfit is one of my favourite, you are one of the first designers to pay attention to detail and go beyond the basic skirt and top, my favourite part has to be the peekaboo sequin detail on the bottom of the dress along with the ruffle it makes it look expensive, my only issue with this is that I don't recall when was the last time I saw Ashley wear white, she has such a stunning skin tone that you could have gone for a really bold color that made a statement, to me that would have set your design a step over the rest of the competition, but it's really just me nitpicking at your design, another thing I don't really enjoy is the elite clutch, for me the thing that makes Ashley, Ashley it's the fact that she lets you know her social status without having to rely on this kind of gimmicks.
Ashley: I really love that look then! I'd definitely wear it. From the subtle hints of gold accessories to that FABULOUS fur boa. I'm not a fan of white on white, but the gold details really do set the pieces a part from one another. I'm really enjoying the corresponding chain details on both the dress' shoulders as well as that found on the heels. However, as Sophie said, the clutch is a bit too gimmicky but I do enjoy it. Out of the contestants so far, Next time, however, I'm really wanting you to impress me even more than now!
Rozalia214
Ashley: I think the look is very basic, and in comparison to your daily style Jeannette I don't think it matches up very well. The styling is very generic and speaks to me on a retail basis as I could see this look being marketed at Macy's, however in comparison to your daily looks this doesn't make the cut. The garment is simple, almost too simple and the overall cut seems frumpy.
The fabric also has a strong interior design feel and I could easily picture myself using it to upholster chairs in my New York loft. -Carmen- Upholster chairs! Lol!
Carmen: I can't express how much I hate this sleeve length. I hate it more than anything. Totally something you should've removed. And even when you remove it - it's too covered for Jeannette! She is not kind of person we see zipped up to neck and that's what I dislike about this outfit. Print over that dress is no! No, no, no. I don't like it. Clutch needs so much more work, and then shoes are the same pattern as dress. What? This is such a pack of recycled materials and patterns, I don't like this, you didn't impress me with this.
Jeannette: I like the print of the dress, though I would never wear that! I don't know if you did some research on my style and my red carpet looks, I never wear bold prints or patterns. I'm also a bit reluctant to that sheer panel, I'm so over the sheer trend now, we've been seeing this type of looks since 2010 and, as Ashley said, we could find this dress in Macy's or any other retailer, if you were to attend a high profile event wouldn't you wear fancy clothes? I also dislike how the dress is crumpled on both sides, it's not so well-fitted on the tummy area, whereas the bottom part is very body-fitted.
Sophie: The dress is "cute" can you imagine the dollywood times making a note on your collection saying it was "cute"?! The print looks slightly cheap, I think you should've taken your time and make sure the print gave off a realistic vibe, as it just seems like you pasted it on top of an already made dress, the sheer panel makes it look extremely outdated, girl, 2010 called, it said no. and yet again I know Jeannette for a long time, and this is nowhere near something he'd wear to an event, it's common it's another "everyday" look, and he always needs to make a splash, there were so many great options!!! Jeannette loves a bold color, or a short short short dress, to me this seems like a lazy choice
MissFlora9
Jeannette: My first impression on this look was 'Oh, Sophie needs to wear this !' The pin up vibes I'm getting from this look are exactly what Sophie Loewe would wear. I really appreciate that you took your time in making all this embroidery, my only advice is try to not give it a Prom/Homecoming dress feeling, be careful and try to make it more delicate next time. Satin is one of the hardest fabrics to work with, because with some details or bad sewing it can end up looking cheap, and you managed to keep it on the right track. Those tulle fills add a lot to this outfit. Certainly this dress is more of an evening or night attire, but Sophie is one to break the rules. Bravo.
Ashley: This is absolutely Sophie! From the pin up girl cinch of the waist to the overall accessorizing of the look, I'm impressed! I'm loving the subtle details on the hem, bodice, and arms, especially the sheer peplum fills. The dress would be very simple without the fills, so I'm very glad you added the extra omph to the look! I'd had love to have seen some swarovski details on the shoes to match that fabulous diamond choker and the diamond applique on the dress, but the look is superb.
Sophie: I'm so glad to see someone who did their homework and investigated what my style is, also I appreciate the fact that you innovated a little bit with my style, as I don't often wear this color or fitted skirts, to me the color is a major plus, deep red is one of the colors that always is in the back of my head and I never get to wearing, to me daytime and nighttime are no different, I will wear a ballgown to mass, so this seems like a perfect choice to kind of keep a line between the two of them, the thing I love the most is the choice of materials, so far you are the only contestant who gave us definition into which materials you've chosen, the bustier part clearly is satin, while the skirt is made out of tulle, I always look for these kind of detailing in my outfits, the styling as a whole is absolutely on point, I will wear this any-day, anytime, I do agree the shoes seem a bit flat, maybe a complete diamond studded stiletto would have worked better, congratulations ! you really are my favourite out of the contestants so far
Carmen: This outfit screams Sophie and I like it. I love this, you've done a great job, great outfit and you've done this task pretty well! So far, you're the only one who did everything perfectly!
Nounacoolrock
Sophie: I am sorry to say I'm not impressed by this piece, this to me looks basic, the graphic and the quality of the design are there, but design wise I'm lacking, I'm one to go for details, and in this particular piece it's all plain colors, I don't really enjoy the pink and black contrast, it's not something I'd wear, if you searched for my style, you know this tulle skirt to me looks flat, it need way more volume, the length is so beautiful though, I don't love it but I don't hate it, maybe I could wear it on a regular day but certainly not for an event, I'm sorry
Jeannette: This is a typical Sophie outfit, but I'm not getting the chills or have any particular feeling, it's too bland IMO. The top isn't very well fitted and it looks big on the model and the skirt underneath is a little bit distracting. Pretty but forgettable. You should try harder next time.
Ashley: Sophie's look is nearly spot on, but it's missing that certain sparkle for a day time look. In fact, the piece you created would work best for an EVENING look rather than that for a daytime event. None the less, its nice to look at yet not as exciting as what I would have expected concerning the graphic quality of the dress. It looks too vintage almost and borders on a Broadway show costume rather than a formal piece. A little bit more research on design and material and I'd be inclined to appreciate it more.
Carmen: I personally hate the idea of pink and black together. No matter it reminds me of Sophie very well when I see it, I don't like this piece. Something lacks there, either it's a detail, final touch or something - it's missing. And that lack is pretty visible. This is cute but it didn't impress me.
Sophie: I like this look for Carmen, however i don't think it fits what we asked for, to me this outfit is another daytime piece, but not a special event piece, this looks something he'd wear to go grocery shopping everyday, you could have very simply kicked it up a notch by adding a fur coat to this or a boa, and then it would have been perfect, although I like the color, I think for this design and for flip it wouldn't be a perfect fit, you need a little bit more of a coloured tone to make sure SoniaBellaStone's skin really looks radiant, so for me this is OK. not impressive not disappointing
Jeannette: I'm in love with the color of this suit, I wish I would own it in Stardoll. I think this is too simple for any event, and it would be something new for Carmen to wear, maybe you should've added a diamond brooch or a fur coat, as Sophie already said. I like the cut of the coat, it reminds me of those vintage Dior garments. Thanks for making a suit instead of a dress, it's so refreshing from all we've seen so far.
Ashley: actually like the look for Carmen honestly. The cut of the suit as well as the fabric are really pleasing to the eyes on a minimal aesthetic level whereas the small inclusion of a simple luxury item like the diamond choker. However, the piece overall is lacking in designer ingenuity as well as skill. This look reminds me of something an aging socialite would wear to hide her varicose veins and sagging hips due to not getting her botox injections on time. It's old, not classic. I hope you get a chance to try harder next time as you have potential, which I commented on at first, however I'm not very impressed with your work.
Carmen: Oh my, I like this color. I quite ho I'm not kind of person wearing suit. Especially without a Birkin, haha. But I would never go to the event in suit, a peek into my previous event outfits would've been enough to notice that. I love that you used the necklace, I love it and it makes the outfit better but boots ruined it for me. I would never ever wear boots to any event and specially not combined with the suit. Outfit could be aweosme for some mature woman in age of 40 and above, but I am not one of them.
Stefaj
Jeannette: I have mixed opinions on this outfit. I would wear something like this, tho I would
never wear this particular look. There's just too much fuzzyness on it and I can't stand why did you make a matching skirt instead of a pair of black cigarette pants with a black turtle-neck shirt underneath, or a high waisted skirt. The detail of the feathers is amazing, I can clearly see that you got inspired by my
Elie Saab couture dress which I wore to a Goth-Punk themed red carpet. This is supposed to be a daytime event, it doesn't work at all for me.
Ashley: This looks like something my idol Marlo Hampton would have wore back when she lived in Florida with small time sugar daddies who were buying her Versace T-shirts instead of couture. I have to say that while I commend you for being experimental, this is just tacky and wrong on a lot of levels. Jeannette would NEVER wear this nor consider it a look. Anyone who's wearing this is obviously desperate to have a couture ensemble, almost hilariously. Jeannette, you better go back to Club Atlanta and look for a sugar daddy that can afford your tastes because he thinks you're just fine with trashbags and fringe.
Sophie: This outfit is a complete "No" it looks like a high school student project, it's clear you were pulling strings to create something "innovative" and although I appreciate that, it feels fabricated, and truthfully it seems something I'd laugh at if I saw on a runway, it looks like a cheap version of a Charlie Le Mindu creation, the way you utilised the materials and textures makes it look frumpy and unpolished, the proportions are wrong and make the body look atrocious, the styling overall doesn't relate to anything, it's not avant-garde, it's not classic, it's not chic, its a whole lot of nothing wrapped up in some fringe, and even if this outfit was properly constructed and thought out, it's useless for the task given to you, Jeannette would never wear this, it's not on his lane and truthfully it's not on either of the rest of the judges lanes either, you missed the mark, big time
Carmen: What for god's sake is this? What were you thinking? Oh my god. What was your inspiration? This is... This isn't. Jeannette, if you ever plan to wear something like this, please, delete my number. I am shocked. This doesn't even look cheap - so many materials looking like they were taken out of trash can. Please, next time (?) question yourself and think twice before deciding about the outfit.
I have to say this was a great first runway show!

anyone who would wear that look.
Rozalia214, your design was something we've already seen, there was nothing special in it and it didn't go along with the judge's style.
